EGL is more than just printed socks, impractical shoes, poofy dresses and lace. Its the fullest representation of the self in a visual fashion. Every lolita is a businesswoman, a tailor, a launderer, a leader, and most importantly, confident and self-driven.

EGL is a very important part of my life. I have been a long-time appreciator before I started wearing the fashion. >I got my first glimpse of EGL- or anything besides mall goth- when I saw this photo of three women wearing Moi-Meme-Moitie. Right then and there, I knew thats exactly what I wanted. It's odd to look at yourself and realize you are exactly what you wanted to be and look like as a child.
